What is “HPP” and how do I create an online account? To create accounts for the HPE Education online portal, we utilize “HPE Passport” (HPP). This is HPE’s single sign-in service that lets you use one user name and password to access a number of online services from Hewlett Packard Enterprise. If you have an existing HPP account, you can use it to authenticate yourself to the HPE Education portal. If not, you can create a new profile and use this to also access other Hewlett Packard Enterprise services. Please use the <a href="https://vcweb.wip.it.hpe.com/edu/profile.html?lnksrc=us&lnksrc1=en&lnksrc2=training__index&linksrc3=1" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">login link</a> for this. Your email address must be validated before you can use your account with the HPE Education portal. For this purpose, we will send an email to you with a validation link. Once you have clicked on that link, your new account is ready to use. <a href="https://www.hpe.com/ww/training/vc-profile?lnksrc=us&lnksrc1=en&lnksrc2=training__index&linksrc3=1" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">Create an HPE Passport Account</a> I have an existing HPE Passport account, why do I need to provide my address information again in the HPE Education online portal? Even though we utilize the HPE Passport username and password for authentication, the HPE Education online portal maintains its own address and billing information for you. That allows you to enter information that is specific to your training needs. Only your first name, last name and email address will be copied over from your HPP account and can also only be changed via the HPP login screen. All other information is maintained via the “My training profile” link in the About my account menu. How do I change my first name, last name, or email address? Since your first name, last name and email address are the link between your HPE Passport account and your HPE Education portal profile, they can only be changed in HPE Passport and are set to read-only in your training profile. Please go to your training profile and use the “My HPE Passport profile” link in the "About my account" menu to modify these. The new values will then automatically be copied to your training profile. I just created a new account, but there is already data in it. 
I just created a new account but I took a course before and expected to be able to see my training history in the new account. When you create a new account, we search for your first name, last name and email address in our database. If there is a match on all three we pre-populate your new account with the address information and course history that we have stored. This allows you to access information on your previous courses. If you setup your original account with a different name or email, this link will not be created automatically. If you think we should have data which does not show up in your new account, <a href="https://www.hpe.com/us/training/contactus" target="_blank" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">contact us</a> and we will make an effort to recover your information. Is my user name always my email address? When you first create your HPP account, your email address will also be your username. However, from that point on they are two different values. If you change your email address at a later time in HPP, you may also want to change your username to the same value or you can give yourself a username different from your email address. Both can be individually changed via the HPP login screen or the “My HPE Passport profile” link in your training profile. What do I do if I forgot my password? When you are on the HPE Passport login screen, there are links to help you recover your username and/or your password. If you forget your password, you need to enter your email address and we will send to you a link that allows you to reset your password. Technical Support

What are my default search results? Initially we will show you all the Instructor-Led Training (ILT) events in your country plus all Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) offerings in your region. If you came from an HPE Education home page that is shared by more than one country (i.e., United States and Canada), you will see all ILT courses from all of these countries. You can then unselect countries whose events you are not interested in and click the “update” button to refresh the search results. You might also see more than one price for VILT offerings. Once you have logged in, pricing will only be shown to you in your currency and for your country. Note that ILT courses are always priced in the local country’s currency. How can I change my search results? With the help of the "Narrow by" filter menu on the right side of the search results, you extend the search to other countries and/or filter your results on certain criteria. To do this, check the criteria for your search and press the “update” button. Note that, while you will always see the ILT courses of only those countries that you selected, by default you will also always see all VILT courses offered for your region/time zone, no matter which countries are offering them. But you can filter these out by using the “Delivery Type” and/or “Language” filters. My search results are empty or I cannot find what I am looking for, what do I do? If your search results come up empty, please check your search criteria first, especially the “Delivery Types”, “Languages” and “Months” settings. Not every course is being delivered in every form in every month. Or, courses could already be fully booked. However, if you really cannot find an option that works for you, please contact us directly via the <a href="https://www.hpe.com/us/training/contactus" target="_blank" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">contact us</a> page in the learning portal. We might be able to schedule an additional event or find some other solution to address your training needs. What are Guaranteed to Run (GTR) classes and how can I find those indicated as GTR? With the HPE Guaranteed to Run (GTR) Program, you can save time, take advantage of cost savings and gain peace of mind. GTR designated classes will run on time and in your chosen location. HPE Guaranteed to Run classes cover a wide range of dates for our most popular courses. Guaranteed to Run sessions are noted with “GTR (Session is guaranteed to run)” in the course schedules. Finding Courses

I see different prices and currencies (or no price). How does pricing work? Pricing depends on the type of course. For an Instructor-Led Training (ILT), you will have to travel to the place of delivery. In this case, you pay in the country of delivery the local price in local currency, no matter where you live. Therefore, depending on the filter settings, you might see a price being displayed in a currency other than your own. For a Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) or a self-paced (e-learning) training, you consume the course in your own country, no matter which country is providing and organizing the course. In this case, you pay in your home country. So these courses will always be priced in your own currency. Note that we can only determine your home country accurately once you have logged in. If you have not yet logged in, we make an assumption based on the country home page from which you started your search. If that is a multi-country home page, you might see multiple prices. Please log in to make sure you see the price that really does apply to you.
 If you don’t see any price or a message to call us, please <a href="https://www.hpe.com/us/training/contactus" target="_blank" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">contact us</a> to determine the correct price. Why is a schedule price missing? This means the system could not find a valid price for your country/currency. Please <a href=" https://www.hpe.com/us/training/contactus" target="_blank" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">contact us</a> to ask about this course. Are taxes included? Taxes are not included at the time of registration. Taxes will be presented once you receive a Hewlett Packard Enterprise invoice and final payment is completed. Can I register without paying? You have the option to create a registration without selecting a payment method for that registration. In this case, you would choose the payment method option “Will Advise” and a Hewlett Packard Enterprise representative will contact you to complete your registration. What are Monetary HPE Education Learning Credits? There are two types of monetary prepaid agreements that can be purchased in advance for training; HPE Education Learning Credits for Support Contracts and HPE Multiyear Learning Credits. The commonality between these agreements is that the consumption is tracked in monetary currency. HPE Education Learning Credits can be used for any training course or service provided through HPE Education. HPE Education Learning Credits can also be redeemed for HPE Right Start Knowledge Bundles, and HPE Digital Learner subscriptions. You can only redeem HPE Education Learning Credits for eligible courses delivered in the same country as your HPE Education Learning Credits purchase, or those that are delivered as virtual instructor-led training (VILT). Your HPE Education Learning Credits Agreement will always start with HPEUXXXX. The number of credits required for each offering is available on the registration page. The number of required credits is also available on course data sheet, viewable by clicking on a course title. What if my HPE Education Learning Credit balance doesn’t cover the total cost? How do I get a copy of the invoice? Invoices will be sent to your billing address and copies can be emailed upon request. Unless otherwise requested, credit cards will be charged the week of, or week prior to your training class. I am a Hewlett Packard Enterprise employee, can I use my corporate card to pay for training? No. HPE employees are funded internally, so you must select “Location Code” as your method of payment unless otherwise directed.

Why do I need to provide my citizenship when registering for courses from HPE? The technical content in HPE’s training courses may be subject to government export license requirements. In order to obtain such licenses where necessary, all training applicants are asked to provide their country of citizenship (or permanent residence where applicable). Refusal to provide this information could result in HPE not being able to obtain export licenses where required, preventing HPE from delivering the requested training. How do I register a group of attendees? How do I cancel a registration? To print your materials, we suggest you adjust the print range to 1-50, 51-100, etc. For VMware courses, printing is restricted to only 10 pages at a time. Could I buy only the materials (without taking the course)? To purchase materials, please <a href="mailto:education.deliverylogistics.usca@hpe.com" target="_blank" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">email us</a> and indicate which materials you are interested in. One of our specialists will provide instructions on how to purchase. Could I get a hardcopy of my materials? Yes. Click on the hyperlink you received along with your electronic materials e-mail. How do I know when my HPE Education Learning Credits Agreement is set up? Once the Agreement has been set up, an HPE Education Learning Credits welcome letter is sent to the person named as the owner or administrator. (Note that HPE Education Learning Credits ordered with HPE hardware will not be set up until the HPE hardware ships.) It is very important that the person who will monitor the usage of the account is named (along with a phone number and email) when the HPE Education Learning Credits order is placed. Try to avoid providing the accounting office, for example, or a generic email address as the point of contact—this only causes confusion when we try to contact the actual account owner. If you are expecting an HPE Education Learning Credits welcome letter, please check with the person who placed the order. How do I find the details of my HPE Education Learning Credits agreement? Customers should receive an HPE Education Learning Credits welcome letter which will provide details such as how to use and how to access account balances and usage. Getting Started with HPE Education Learning Credits

How do I check the balance of my HPE Education Learning Credits Agreement? Customers will receive an HPE Education Learning Credits welcome letter that provides details on how to access account balances, including usage. To check the balance and review registrations associated with your HPE Education Learning Credits account, follow the steps below. <ol style="margin:0;"><li>Go to the <a href="https://education.hpe.com/us/en/training/training-credit-balance.html" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">HPE Education Learning Credits balance page</a>.</li><li>Enter your HPE Education Learning Credits Agreement Number (HPEMxxxxx or HPEUxxxxx) and Access PIN code in the appropriate fields.</li><li>Click "Check HPE Education Learning Credits/Agreement balance" to view results.</li></ol> You will see an online report showing your account balance and all transactions that have been posted against your account. Account information is updated within 24 hours. How do I apply my HPE Education Learning Credits to a registration? HPE Education Learning Credits work like a prepaid credit card. They can be used to pay for training offered by HPE Education Services, including <a href="https://education.hpe.com/us/en/training/ilt-vilt.html" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">virtual instructor-led training (VILT)</a>, <a href="https://education.hpe.com/us/en/training/ilt-vilt.html" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">onsite instructor-led training (ILT)</a>, <a href="https://education.hpe.com/us/en/training/elearning.html" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">eLearning</a> courses, <a href="https://education.hpe.com/us/en/training/right-start-knowledge.html" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">HPE Right Start Knowledge Bundles</a>, and <a href="https://education.hpe.com/ww/en/training/partner.html" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;" target="_blank">HPE Partner Ready certification training</a>. In addition, you can view the <a href="https://education.hpe.com/us/en/training/schedule.html" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">course schedule</a> to see the most up-to-date course listing. Are there any exceptions to use HPE Education Learning Credits? HPE Education Learning Credits can only be used for training provided by HPE Education. In addition, HPE Education Learning Credits cannot be used for industry events or training services provided by other HPE organizations, including HPE Management of Change Services and HPE MyRoom/VRG. Can someone other than me use my HPE Education Learning Credits? Yes, as long as they have your permission, someone other than the person named as the owner can use the HPE Education Learning Credits. However, it is not advisable to share your HPE Education Learning Credits account with anyone you have not given approval. What if I don't have enough HPE Education Learning Credits for the course I want to take? No problem, there are several options to consider. With HPE Education Learning Credits you can "refill" your account with additional funds (a minimum purchase amount is required). Or, if you have multiple HPE Education Learning Credits Agreements, you may want to use funding from a second account to cover the remaining balance. Another option is to provide a different method of payment such as a credit card or PO to cover the balance. Note: if additional funds are added to your existing HPE Education Learning Credits Agreement, they are subject to the same terms and expiration date as the original Agreement. Can I combine HPE Education Learning Credits agreements? No. Each HPE Education Learning Credits agreement has a unique key depending on the details of the order and cannot be combined into one account. However, credits from different agreements can be combined to pay for one registration if necessary. Can I use HPE Education Learning Credits across different countries? No. HPE Education Learning Credits can only be used in the country of purchase. Can HPE Education Learning Credits be refilled? Yes, "refills" can be purchased any time during the 12-month duration the learning agreement; however, those funds are subject to the same expiration date as the original agreement.

Using your HPE Education Learning Credits

Do HPE Education Learning Credits expire? Yes. Most HPE Education Learning Credits Agreements have a 12-month term. Your Agreement expiration date is included in the welcome letter/email sent to the named contact person. Any funds remaining in the HPE Education Learning Credits Agreement at the expiration date are forfeited. The HPE Education Credits Agreement cannot legally be extended. If your organization needs a longer Agreement term, ask your HPE representative or authorized reseller about HPE Multiyear Learning Credits Can I extend the expiration date of my HPE Education Learning Credits? No. The term of your HPE Education Learning Credits Agreement is part of a contract, and HPE legal and audit requirements do not allow an extension. See the following question about how to register for courses that begin after your expiration date. Can I register for a class starting after the expiration date of my HPE Education Learning Credits? Yes. The start date of the class selected may fall after your HPE Education Learning Credits' expiration date, but you must complete the registration for that course prior to the expiration date. Reschedules are not allowed after your HPE Education Learning Credit Agreement has expired.

Which qualifying courses earn points? HPE Knowledge Club qualifying courses include virtual instructor-led training (VILT) and instructor-led training (ILT) courses which are a minimum of one day in length with schedules available on the HPE Education website. <a href="https://education.hpe.com/us/en/training/schedule.html" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">View the schedule of qualifying courses</a>. Private training deliveries of qualifying courses will also earn points for attending students. The following exclusions apply: <ul style="margin:0;"><li>Free courses are excluded.</li><li>HPE Digital Learner subscriptions are excluded. You will earn points for qualifying VILT courses taken as part of an HPE Digital Learner Gold subscription.</li><li>Self-paced eLearning courses are excluded.</li><li>Courses offered by Aruba Education are excluded.</li></ul> Some additional exclusions may apply. HPE reserves the right to adjust the list of qualifying courses at any time. Contact the HPE Knowledge Club if you have additional questions. Are U.S. Public Service employees eligible to participate in the HPE Knowledge Club? Employees of the U.S. federal government, U.S. state/local government, or public higher education institution, or to any private or public K-12 educational institution, or library are not eligible to participate. Are HPE employees eligible to participate in the HPE Knowledge Club? HPE Employees are not eligible to participate.

How do I sign up for the HPE Knowledge Club? You will receive an e-mail with a link to join the HPE Knowledge Club the week following your completion of a qualifying course with HPE Education. Why can't I log in to my HPE Knowledge Club account? If you have an HPE Knowledge Club account and are not able to log in, ensure your User Name (email) and password are being entered correctly. Your User Name is the same email address where you receive your registration confirmations and points notification emails. Login values are case sensitive. If you are still having trouble, you may need to reset your password. How can I reset my password? Visit the HPE Knowledge Club rewards account page, click the "Reset your password" link, then follow the prompts. I did not receive an email as expected. What should I do? Check your junk/spam folder in case the email was routed there by mistake. If you still can’t find the message, <a href="https://www.hpe.com/us/training/contactus" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">contact the HPE Knowledge Club</a>. How do I update my HPE Knowledge Club account information? Once logged in to your Rewards account, click the "My Info" tab at the top of the page and edit your information as needed.

Do HPE Knowledge Club points expire? HPE Knowledge Club points expire 3 years after they have been assigned. I haven’t received the points for my HPE Education class. Points are only earned on qualifying, fee-based courses and are applied to your account the week after you complete a qualifying class. If you still do not see your points, please <a href="https://www.hpe.com/us/training/contactus" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">contact the HPE Knowledge Club</a>. I will begin working for a new company. Can I keep the points that I have earned to date? Points earned by a member will remain with the member even if they change employers. You may need to update your email on the My Info page in your Rewards account. Can I combine my points with another HPE Knowledge Club Member? Points may not be transferred from one member to another. HPE Knowledge Club points are only earned by and will only be deposited into the account associated with the member who completes a qualifying course. Why can't I select a reward? Ensure you have enough points in your account balance to be able to redeem a reward. Occasionally rewards are temporarily out of stock. In that case, choose a different reward or check back later. I do not have enough points to redeem a reward. Is it possible to purchase points in order to get to a reward level? HPE Knowledge Club points can only be earned by completing qualifying courses with <a href="https://education.hpe.com/us/en/training/index.html" style="color: #000;text-decoration:underline #01A982;">HPE Education</a>. How do I use my Reward Link® to redeem points for gift cards? Using your Reward Link is easy! Just follow these steps:<ol style="margin:0;"><li>Click the Reward Link provided to you within the reward email you received.</li><li>Choose the reward(s) you want. You can select multiple rewards up to your available balance.</li><li>Select the value of each reward. You can manually enter a dollar amount or choose from the pre-selected drop-down menu. Note: You can't choose an amount that exceeds your remaining balance.</li><li>Select "Add to Cart".</li><li>Once you've selected the reward(s) you want, click "Checkout" or "Add to Cart".</li><li>Verify your name and your email address and check the box acknowledging the terms. Be sure your email address is correct.</li><li>Click "Complete My Order".</li><li>Check your inbox. Your gift cards will be sent to the email you confirmed.</li></ol>
