Digital badges are available in three categories (Fast Start, Specialist, and Administrator) across a variety of technology subjects and accommodate all learning levels. To earn a badge, you need to complete the required course(s), then pass a skills assessment exam (included free with course registration). Badge-eligible courses come in multiple formats: HPE Digital Learner, virtual instructor-led training (VILT), instructor-led training (ILT) courses.

Earn all Fast Start badges with HPE Digital Learner
People with an HPE Digital Learner subscription of any level (Bronze, Silver, or Gold) already have access to courses that fulfill the requirements for all Fast Start badges. Since most Fast Start badges can be earned in two business days, you could earn several new badges—and gain valuable new skills—within your first month.

Fast Start badges
Fast Start badges are designed to teach the fundamentals of a topic, providing a broad overview to the student. The courses required for all Fast Start badges are included with an HPE Digital Learner subscription of any level. Most Fast Start badges can be earned in two business days or less.
- Audience: General IT and Data Center staff, Influencers, Solutions Designers, Systems Integrators, Technical Staff, Technical Architects
Specialist badges
Specialist badges are for professionals who want to gain a deeper understanding within a single technology area. Specializations may be in either HPE technologies or IT industry and earners will have the skills necessary to become recognized as subject matter experts on that tech.
- Audience: Solution Specialists, Technical Architects, IT Support Staff, Integrators, Product Specialists, Implementation Staff, Configurators
Administrator badges
Administrator badges are designed for IT professionals who are placed in systems management or systems administration roles. They indicate a broad set of skills necessary to successfully oversee systems such as HPE Nimble Storage and HPE Synergy.
